Tomorrow I'm riding out to Austin to watch MotoGP, and when I get back I'll be teaching a 5-class series at High Desert Yoga, specifically for motorcyclists, along with long-term teacher and motorcyclist Bill Anker.

The event flyer is on the SMRI home page, and you can see the studio web page here, http://www.highdesertyoga.com/workshops.html

We're going to work on simple things that will help track day riders and racers, like lower back strength, hamstring length, breathing, and overall stability and flexibility. If you're already going to the gym or riding your bicycle to train for racing and track days, consider adding some yoga cross-training to your regime. If you're not doing anything at all to train for racing (except riding?) we'll still have exercises and techniques that can benefit your riding.

SMRI members get a discount, $45 for the 5-class series, or you can come to any class for $13. (We do have to pay the studio for the space, or it would be free for all youse guys ;-). )

See you at the track, or maybe at the studio!

Hey, if we do this in our leathers, in August, would this be considered Hot Yoga?

What's really hot is seeing one of the Moto2 riders getting warmed up in his pit, doing a full supta virasana (reclined hero pose) in his leathers.
