North/South Shootout

    SMRI had a number of people down at ASR for the Shootout.  The North guys did a great job of representing the club.  Everyone had a great time!  I'm looking forward to them coming up here for the July round.

    Exactly right, Kimmy.  I spoke with Roger today and he told me that many of the ASMA racers have shared their delight at our attendance and are planning to come to Sandia in July. 

    Congratulations to Mikey Shreve, Kelcey Walker, and Kevin Gibson for bringing home several trophies and representing SMRI at Arroyo Seco!

    I think we need to have a BBQ/potluck on Sat evening.  They did that down there and it was great even in the wind to get to chat with a number of them.

    I thought it was great also.  Of course, my motorcycle was older than half of the guys I was racing against.  That did give them an advantage.  I finished 2 of the three races.  One had to be skipped since I couldn't get the bike in gear to bump start it.  Maybe I ought to get a more modern one.

    Looking forward to the July round.  Several ASMA racers have assured me they will be in attendance.  I plan on doing some kind of pot luck Saturday.   See you all in July.

    OK...so the potluck dinner for Saturday night is moving forward.  The club have agreed to procure a couple of kegs and some food for the event (maybe burgers and brats) and we're wondering who wants to participate and who is bringing a grill out to the event.

    Sing out, folks!  Let's make it a good time for everyone involved. 

    Who's got a grill?  Who's bringing goodies?  Who's staying to slurp suds and contribute their good company?
