Novice questions...

Super excited to join SMRI this year.  I picked up a tired k5 gsxr 600 from a former racer and with a (new to me) bike I will see the Sandia track for the first time this weekend.  Assuming I can still figure out when to use the throttle and when to use the brake, I'm hoping to get the chance to go down to Deming the following weekend and see if I can figure out another new track.

Questions for any riders familiar with the k4/k5 600's.... what gearing do you run at Sandia?  What gearing do you run at Arroyo Seca?

Any other tips to share for a novice that has only ridden in the Northwest?

    Cheers to a new season!

    Randy,

No advice on GSXR600 gearing from me except to say that most folks run gearing substantially shorter than OE.  I did, however, want to take a minute and say "Welcome to SMRI!!!"  Find #9 in the pits for a more personal welcome.
