I just wanted to drop a quick note to let everyone know that I've checked on Richard and Randy and that both are at home and recovering from their accident.
For those who weren't present these riders clashed between turns 4 and 5 on Sunday during the Modern Vintage race resulting in Richard visiting the hospital on his own and Randy being transported via ambulance. Richard required a few stitches for a cut on his left arm, IV fluids, and various pokes and scans, but is at home recovering from his ordeal. Randy required extensive testing due to a head trauma but was found to be healthy enough to go home where he is recovering from what is equivalent to a pretty good beating.
Also, the track day rider who was transported Saturday is at home recovering. He is pretty sore and has a pair of black eyes, but is expected to make a full recovery.
All told these three are pretty lucky to be at home, especially the first two. I saw the crash from a distance of about ten feet and I was surprised to see Richard walking around afterward. That guy can roll with the best of 'em!
